I have been a user of your product Restoration for a number of years. I started out buying it to see if I could restore linens that had been in my Mother's family but were never used because of brown stains that had been on the linens for years. Unfortunately I did not use it while my Mother was still living to see the results.
I have been a volunteer at the Plymouth Historical Museum for approximately 25 years, most of that time on the exhibit Committee. We have a large supply of antique clothing and linens as well as all of the other items connected with a museum. Because I worked on setting up exhibits, which we change periodically, I became interested in trying to restore clothing that we wanted to put on display. I tried Restoration on some badly stained Victorian era dresses and they came out beautifully. Last summer I washed all of our white Victorian summer dresses as we wanted to put as many as possible on display. The results were amazing. Visitors remarked how white and fresh the dresses were.
Recently we received a donation of many small girls' Victorian summer dresses and coats which I washed and some baby clothes of that era and was able to remove almost all of the stains.
My reason for writing this letter is the fact that I have always purchased Restoration through catalogs; Vermont country Store and Home Trends. Their recent catalogs have not had it listed and I am wondering if Restoration is ever sold in retail stores or if other catalog companies carry Restoration. Also would it be possible to purchases Restoration directly from your company? I usually purchase 3 or 4 containers at a time. I have always permitted my friends to use my supply.
A friend recently washed her grandfather's christening gown for her grandson to wear. I came out beautifully!
